Q1. What is the minimum age to play Zorball?

A1. You have to be 8 years old to play Zorball.

Q2. Does Zorball hurt and is it safe?

A2. Our bubbles are very well padded and your safety is our priority. Although you may get a few knocks on your legs (we recommend wearing jogging bottoms), we believe that injury is actually more likely in regular football. To minimise the risk of injury, participants must agree to our rules and safety guidelines before commencing play.

Q3. Are you flexible on times and dates?

A3. Yes. The availability you see on this website is just a guide, and we are usually able to match your preferred time, date and place.

Q4. I live outside of Greater London and Sussex but I want to play! Can you come to me?

A4. While we specialise in Greater London and Brighton/Sussex, we do travel to certain events further afield. Get in touch to discuss options.

Q5. What is the minimum number of participants?

A5. The minimum is 8 players – for 4 aside. We do recommend having 15 players though to make 3 teams of 5. This will give participants much needed breaks – you will be surprise how tiring Zorball is!

Q6. I am going to book my own local venue, what should I do?

A6. Great. Just make sure that the venue is either a sports hall, a 3G/4G/5G artificial pitch or grass. The pitch should be no more than 40 metres from a plug socket, so we are able to inflate and deflate the sorbs. It should also have reasonable access from the road/car park so that we can unload the equipment quickly and safely. We cannot play on concrete, gravel or sand-based astro-turf. 

Q7. I would like you to book the venue for me, what should I do?

A7. Pay your deposit online. You will then be required to tell us the area and postcode of your event. We’ll source a suitable venue, call you to confirm, and then book. The price of this pitch will be added to your outstanding balance to be settled on the day of your event.

Q8. What does the 2 hour session include?

A8. Our staff will arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the allotted time and begin setting up as soon as possible. All participants must then sign an agreement to abide by the safety rules. Then the fun begins! We will begin with 4 or 5 aside Zorball and take you through a number of hilarious games including British Bull Dog and Head to Head. In total, you will play for at least 90mins.

Q9. Can people come to watch?

A9. YES! We encourage players to bring friends along to watch. After all Zorball is probably the funniest spectator sport around!

Q10. What should we bring?

A10. Yourselves, sportswear, plenty of water and plenty of energy and enthusiasm! Oh, and camera phones if you want to get some action shots!

Q11. What is the minimum and maximum number of participants?

A11. The minimum number of participants is 8. We recommend having 10 or more so that we can play 5aside and opportunity for breaks.

There is no maximum group size for Zorball. We can accommodate large sizes with tournament formats tailored to your event.

Q13. We don’t have a venue, so can we play in a park?

A13. While it is possible to play Zorball in public spaces, you will need to obtain written permission from the council and/or space owner to do so. Please also remember that we need access to a plug socket to set up and pack down!

Q14. How do I book?

A14. Just follow our simple three step process: 1. Decide on a date, time and venue (Use our venue finder if you need one); 2. Contact us to check our availability and options; 3. Place your deposit or pay in full online.

Q15. What is the media package?

A15. Our media package includes high quality photographs from your event as well as a HD video highlights compilation which is 10-15mins long. You will be sent a link to download your files, which you are free to share with everyone who attended! 

Q16. When will I receive my media package download?

A16. We aim to send out media package download links within 7 days of your event. During busier periods, it can take up to 14 days.
